Princess Elizabeth met Philip Mountbatten at 13 years old, when the Ruler was 19. They met out trip of the Royal Naval College in 1939. 

When they went on a college trip, they fell in love there too, and the Prince Philip asked proposed to her marriage.

They secretly got engaged and shortly announced their engagement in 1946. 

They got married on November 20, 1947 at Westminster Abbey. It was a grand celebration for the whole nation to witness. 

Prince Charles was born in 1948 and the new family gathered for a beautiful picture together.
