Florida Governor announced Primary Election Results

The Republican primary in New York’s 23rd Congressional District, one of the state’s more conservative areas, is fairly close.

Nick Langworthy, the state party chair, is about 860 votes, 2 percent of the tally so far, ahead of Carl Paladino, a polarizing figure with a history of offensive remarks.

Both parties are watching a special election in New York’s Hudson Valley for a snapshot of where the political energy is less than three months before the midterm elections.

Voter turnout was low throughout Central Florida during Tuesday’s primary, with less than a quarter of eligible voters casting ballots.
